The Monokote production range of MK6HY, Z106HY, and Z146 have been applied in the UK and Europe since the early 90's. It is a fast setting fire resistant plaster for structural steelwork and concrete decking that can achieve up to 4 hours fire protection.
Various Monokote sprays have been used on prominent buildings and high risers such as 33 Canada square, canary wharf (the original Citibank) in 1999, HSBC, CLIFFORD CHANCE, BARCLAYS - BANK OF AMERICA, J P MORGAN & KPMG and iconic buildings including WALKIE-TALKIE, CITY POINT, HARRODS and THE BROADGATE ESTATE. It has also been used for its external properties on the Tyne tunnel in Newcastle and Terminal 4 at Heathrow.

GCP Monokote have recently carried out 2 new fire tests to concrete and clay pot soffits to meet new EN fire regulations. It also offers an acoustic NRC rating of 0.75 at 25mm. The products can achieve an aesthetic finish that doesn’t require additional coverings and can be over-painted to any RAL Colour.
